A Church Bookstore Can Be A Pain

Several months ago, I was asked by The Church Bookstore Magazine to write an article for bookstore managers from my perspective as an executive pastor. They proposed several article concepts, but I wrote back and asked if I could write an article on how much of a pain a church bookstore is. I wanted to show the balance of the effort (pain) with the value (results). Amazingly, they said yes.

"We are living in a culture that is largely uneducated when it comes to big life issues. Because many were not parented well, they don't know how to raise kids, manage their money, make relationships work or have integrity in their jobs. Sure, they could watch Oprah or buy a self-help book from Borders, but a church bookstore can offer resources that are based on the principles of Scripture."
