Church in Little Rock

One of the most enjoyable parts of my job is being able to visit other churches of all stripes to see how they are doing ministry. Today, my beautiful wife and I are visiting The Summit Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Here are some things I noticed...

• Great leadership. Bill & Holly Elliff started this church about 8 years ago and are leading strong.
• Great team. I met several of their staff and they are young, excited and full of vision. Troy Nicholson is even bald and has a goatee--he must be cool!
• Great topic. They are doing a series on simplicity. That's a topic that will probably work in any community. Some of you might be too busy to consider it.
• Great vibe. The people seemed energized, like they actually enjoy church. If I lived here, I would seriously consider attending this church.

Tomorrow I'm spending some time with the staff talking about structure and strategy and other such topics that I enjoy. The best thing...my wife is with me, and I always love that!
