For years I have loved pouring into leaders, and especially those who help lead local churches organizationally and strategically. I did this for 20 years as an executive pastor at Granger Community Church. Then I did this through my work with Vanderbloemen for the past six years. Now, as I have moved into the role of an Executive Pastor once again, I am even more excited to learn together.

These are unprecedented days for all of us. In some ways, much of what you’ve learned about leadership in the past has been thrown out the window. The word of the year for many of us has been “pivot.” You’ve had to pivot to address racial tension, a global pandemic, governmental mandates, canceling of services, a political season that has divided, and much more.

Now, more than ever, Executive Pastors and church leaders need each other. We need to be learning together. We need to be sharing our best ideas and hearing from some of the best voices that are available.

I’m inviting Executive Pastors to join me beginning in January for my LeadingSmart Executive Pastor Coaching Network, a monthly coaching community that will be practical in content and will feature peer-to-peer connection every month.

• We will meet on the 4th Monday of each month for two hours.
