Steven Furtick: "True faith has a little bit of ambiguity in it."

Steven Furtick always brings it home. Today he delivered a message at the Global Leadership Summit from the life of Elisha from II Kings 3:9-20. My notes:

  • We can get great teaching and great resources--but only God can make it rain.
  • I can't expect God's blessing on my work unless I do it God's way.
  • God doesn't call you to have the faith to finish what He asks--just the faith to start.
  • If the size of the vision you have for your life isn't intimidating to you--it's quite possible it is insulting to God.
  • Faith believes before it sees.
  • True faith has a little bit of ambiguity in it. "I know God can and I think He will. Maybe."
  • When pastors' say they heard from God, they mean they are 55% sure that they did.
  • We get discouraged because we are comparing our behind-the-scenes with everyone else's highlight reel. (BOOM!)
