When Life Doesn't Turn Out Like You Thought it Would

A couple months ago I got an "advanced copy" of a book called Plan B by Pete Wilson. I was bragging to my daughter about it cause she thinks Pete Wilson is a rock star. I met him a couple weeks ago--and she's right--but I can't admit that to her. Well now she has bragging rights. Cause I've still got my advanced copy but she received a hand-signed official copy the other day.

Bragging aside, this is an amazing book which anyone who has experienced life that didn't turn out like they hoped should read. And you can now, because it was released today.

You ever talk to someone whose life is totally shattered by a broken dream, or broken marriage, or loss of a child--and the only advice they are getting from all their Christian friends is "God works all things out for good" or "when God closes a door he opens a window." You want to say something--but you don't want to sound that trite or ridiculous.

Or perhaps you are the one with the unmet expectation. And you are the one hearing the ridiculous explanations. Pete Wilson says, "I'm so sick of this version of Christianity where we feel like our entire theology can fit on a t-shirt, a bumper sticker, or maybe even a bracelet."

Maybe it would have been helpful if someone had said: "Sometimes you have more questions than you have answers" or "Even though you know God is with you, sometimes you feel utterly alone."

In Plan B, Pete Wilson uses real life stories of disappointments and tragedy along with biblical stories such as David, Joseph, and Ruth to help you face your own overwhelming situation.

There really is no reason to wait on ordering this book. It's paperback and only $10 through Amazon. Pete didn't write it to make money--he wrote it to help you.
